My First wedding of 2024 at Auchen Castle.

Welcome to 2024!! Where has the time gone? It has been a wee while since I blogged, due to a busy wedding season in 2023, so I am back and starting 2024 with the most beautiful and bright wedding. Not only was it a colourful wedding full of 2024 wedding trends, but it also snowed! So a white wedding just to top it all off.

When Venus came for her bridal trial with me a few weeks before her wedding we just hit it off. I knew there and then that we were going to have a fun morning and we did!! Venus chose a brown neutral eye look with a bit of drama using 3/4 length lashes and a pop of shimmer using Bobbi Brown Moonstone, my fave shimmer eyeshadow for a beautiful pop without being glittery.

For foundation, Venus didn't want anything heavy or cakey, so I went with Nars Light Reflecting Foundation and Hourglass Powders to keep it soft, glowy and skin like. To finish the look perfectly, Venus opted for a gorgeous red lip by Lisa Eldridge which suited her perfectly.

The Details

The morning was as fun as I knew it was going to be, so much laughter from the start. I also done makeup for Venus's mum which I have been informed she loved it and talked about it all day. Venus had so many nods to 2024 trends at her wedding, from bright and colourful flowers by the super talented Mountain Daisy Floristry and an audio guest book from the Wedding Room, bows on her dress and beautiful big curls by my work bestie Gaynor from Elegant Bridal Hairstyling. And the Boots!! I couldn't love them more.

Then Vicki from Willow and Wilde arrived to capture all these beautiful images, and we all just had such a fun morning, so much laughter that I know helped to calm any nerves Venus was feeling. Wedding suppliers are so much more important than you realise, we don't just offer a service but also if you get the right personalities and the right mix, your morning will be (as it should) the most fun time with so many good memories.
