Vision: Editorial Styled Photoshoot in Peach Pantone

From the moment I saw Castle Volt appear on my Facebook feed, I was immediately obsessed and knew straight away I had to try to organise a styled shoot there. Castle Volt is an extraordinary Scottish castle, with an eclectic mix of styles, blending traditional charm with contemporary flair. Picture this: a backdrop adorned with pop art, zebra and unicorn heads, Photos of the Joker and Harleyquin, neon lights, and a regal interior featuring dazzling chandeliers, gold mirrors, a sweeping staircase, roll-top copper baths, and four-poster beds. Join me as we delve into the whimsical wonderland styled shoot, styling and planning by me, featuring a stunning peach tulle dress and embracing the beauty of natural makeup in this truly unique and opulent setting.

The Venue: A Whimsical Scottish Castle Wonderland

This Scottish 17th Century Castle isn't just a historic gem; it is a symphony of styles and eras. As you enter, you are greeted by a roaring fireplace guarded by a pair of Anubis statues. The sparkle of numerous chandeliers casting a warm glow over the opulent interiors. Gold mirrors adorn the walls, reflecting the playfulness of the pop art installations and neon lights that coexist in perfect harmony. A sweeping staircase adds a touch of grandeur, leading to hidden corners where surprises await.

The Interior: Regal Opulence Meets Quirky Charm

Castle Volt is not only visually striking but also boasts unique features like roll-top copper baths and four-poster beds. The juxtaposition of these opulent elements against the backdrop of pop art and whimsical decor create an atmosphere of extravagance and playfulness.

The Showstopper Dress: Whimsical Peach Tulle Meets Opulent Extravagance

I have been obsessed with Tulle and Peach, so I knew that the dress had to incorporate both, I am a big fan of Millia London so a lot of the inspiration for the dress came from there. With Peach being the Pantone colour of the year, it just seemed fitting to style the shoot around this. The gown is a masterpiece in itself, seamlessly blended with the opulent setting. The peach tulle dress took on an added layer of sophistication against the backdrop of gold mirrors and chandeliers. Keeping the makeup natural and tones of peach, ensured that the look was not only in harmony with the whimsical and opulent surroundings but also radiated a timeless elegance that complemented the regality of the castle.

Makeup: Effortless Beauty Amidst Opulent Grandeur

Against the luxurious backdrop of the castle, Hannahs natural beauty shone even brighter. Soft peach tones and neutral hues were applied to accentuate Hannah's striking features, allowing her to radiate amidst the grandeur of chandeliers and gold accents. The makeup seamlessly blended with the extravagant setting, creating a look that was both ethereal and regal.

Décor and Details: A Fusion of Elegance, Whimsy, and Opulence

The décor embraced the castle's opulent interior, featuring an array of plush fabrics, and unexpected elements like neon signs and quirky art pieces. The zebra and unicorn heads, alongside the chandeliers, gold mirrors, and luxurious furnishings, added an element of whimsy that made the entire shoot feel like a modern fairy tale. The fusion of classic elegance with avant-garde elements showcased the endless possibilities for creative expression in the realm of weddings.

Conclusion:

This wedding editorial, set in a Scottish castle that seamlessly combined traditional charm with modern eccentricity and opulence, was a celebration of love, beauty, and artistic expression. The peach-themed attire and natural makeup beautifully complemented the venue's eclectic mix of pop art, zebra and unicorn heads, neon lights, chandeliers, gold mirrors, a sweeping staircase, a roll-top copper bath, and four-poster beds. It served as a testament to the idea that weddings can be a canvas for imagination and creativity, where each element contributes to a story that is uniquely captivating and unforgettable.

The Team:

My vision could not have come to life without the amazing team on board. Model Hannah and her striking flowing red hair fitted perfectly in the Castle. Diane Boa created perfect ringlets, reminiscent of a bygone era, creating an atmosphere that seamlessly blended modern elegance with timeless charm.
