On your Wedding Day you want your Makeup to look flawless and the only way to achieve this is with great skin prep. There are so many Products promising amazing magical results but in reality they don't work. Nothing will compare to having a good skin care regime.
I use a range of high end Skincare Products in my kit and I recommend Brides to get into a good regime in the run up to their Wedding Day. It doesn't have to be complicated, just Cleansing, Exfoliating and Moisturising is a great start.
Having a facial is a great way to find out more about your skin type as often we guess what skin type we are. Seeing a professional will help to determine your skin type and point you in the right direction of where to start.
Cleansers
There are different types of cleansers and depending on your preference what you choose. I like a lotion as they are easy and quick to use but I also like to use a gel cleanser. I currently go between Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel and Cucumber Cleansing Lotion (both smell so fresh). I do use Micellar Water occasionally but I don't recommend this for everyday use as they can be too harsh for skin.
Toners
Toner is great for oily skin. This is an essential step if you suffer from oily skin so don't skip this. Use after cleansing to close up any pores. A cult favourite is Pixi Glow Tonic
Exfoliators
A staple in my kit is The Body Shop Liquid Peel. This is so easy to use and isn't harsh at all so it's great for sensitive skin (just avoid your eye area). It works on every skin type (I even use it on oily skin) and you can see the results straight away as the dead skin starts to form.
Moisturiser
The Moisturiser you choose will depend on your skin type. I have a range of moisturisers for Oily Skin, Dry and dehydrated skin. Favourites in my kit are the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream (you can now buy this in a travel size to try before you invest) and Bioderma Sebium Pore Refiner (great for Oily Skin). Escentual is a great website to buy skincare from as they often have deals on and do great discounts.
