I thought I would share a typical wedding day with you, going back to one of the hottest days ever for Abbey's wedding at Fonab Castle.

Abbey and Chris eloped and held their intimate ceremony at The Hermitage near Dunkeld (thankfully it was very cool in the woods).
Most wedding require an early start, and as Abbey was staying at Fonab Castle near Pitlochry (I am based near Moffat) it was over a 2 hour drive. I always start with a good breakfast as it's often late afternoon until I get a chance to eat again (and I do love my food so I can't go without for long).
I really enjoy the drive on a wedding morning as the roads are usually quiet and I get to see some lovely scenery. When I arrived at Fonab Castle I was met by a member of staff who knew I was coming and helped me carry my kit to the Penthouse. I have passed Fonab Castle many times on my way to Aviemore for holidays but this was the first time I got to visit and I was blown away by it, such a beautiful place.
As it was an elopement, I was doing Bridal hair and makeup (I only offer hair for elopements for Brides only). Abbey wanted really natural makeup and a boho inspired half up. I like to allocate 3 hours for hair and makeup so that it's a nice relaxed morning.
When I was finished I managed to get a look around the grounds and take some photos and videos for my Tik Tok.
When I am all finished I usually head straight home (especially if it's a good few hours drive) and often eat loads of snacks to keep me going.
