Mature Skin

Lets talk mature skin, and when I talk about mature skin I mean from about 40 years upwards (I know as I am 44 and my skin has changed a lot, I have had to change the way I apply makeup over the past few years).

Over the last 4 years I have made up lots of Mothers of Bride/Groom, Grannys and Great Grannys as well as attending a Masterclass at The Academy of Makeup on mature skin so I can confidently say that I know mature skin.

The number one concern with mature skin is that makeup is going to make you look older. I always (jokingly) get asked to get rid of wrinkles (sadly the only way to get rid of wrinkles is photoshop or botox). As we get older our skin changes and the way you apply makeup should change too. You wouldn't use the same products and techniques on someone who is 70 as you would on a 17 year old (sounds obvious right?) but you would be surprised by the number of people who apply makeup the exact same way no matter what age of client they are working with.

I offer 1-2-1 Lessons on mature skin so if you want some hints and tips on what makeup and techniques to use please get in touch to book in. Lessons are £65 for 2 hours and this includes a luxury goodie bag with high end mini makeup products and samples.
