Know Your Brushes

Using the right tools for the job is essential and this also applies to Makeup Artistry. Whether you are a Makeup Artist or enthusiast it is important that you are using the right brushes for the job. There are a huge range of Makeup Brushes available so it can be difficult to know where to start.

I have a range of Brushes in my kit and my favourite Brands are Zoeva, Real Techniques, Mac and Charlotte Tilbury. There are more affordable brushes on the market from the likes of Nanshy and Crown Brushes too. If you are looking for great quality at a good price point then Zoeva is definitley for you. My most used brushes from Zoeva are 221, 228, 142 and 234. You can buy them direct from Zoeva or from Beauty Bay.

My favourite Foundation and Concealer brushes are from Real Techniques. I have about 4 of the Buffing Brushes and numerous concealer brushes. I tend to buy the brushes when they are on offer at either Boots or Superdrug.

For a more luxurious brush I have Mac and Charlotte Tilbury in my kit. My staple brush for doing winged liner is the Mac 266. I use this with Gel Liner for a perfect wing every time. The sculpting brush from Charlotte Tilbury is perfect for contour and bronzer.
